Welcome back to my blog

This term the kaupeka hub has been busy doing science we focused many on the four topics they were...

(climate change and the water cycle)

(how dose your heart work)

(race to save our population)

(materiel world)

We did this every week on a Tuesday, we went in rotations with our home bases. We all had a google doc with the scientific method for each rotation
they looked like this.

    Hey Charlotte,

    I really liked how you outlined the several different areas of science we have covered this term. It would be great to see you explain what you did for each experiment and how it linked to that 'nature of science'. Remember to always start a new sentence with a capital letter. Looking forward to seeing your final science experiment!

Camp

Welcome back to my blog Last week, the Kaupeka hub went to camp. We went to the YMCA camp in Wainui. We were there for 4 days and 3 nights. We wrote a reflection about the things we found challenging, things we learned, thing we enjoyed and things we are grateful for. Challenging: I found some of the activities challenging. Kayaking was really challenging at the start because I was really scared but once I started doing it I found that it was heaps of fun. We had to do a tramp to get to the YMCA camp and I kept on getting stuck in mud so that was also really challenging. I also got a bit home sick. Enjoyed: I really enjoyed doing the activities. They were really fun to do and it was really cool because I haven't done most of them before. I think I enjoyed kayaking the most because I had never done it before and I liked all the challenges the got us to do in the kayak. My favourite challenge was when we had to stand up on the kayak and we had to jump, I was very happy with myself...

Week three Free choice Blog

Dead Harry Book  Sam has a problem.  His beast mate Harry has been killed.  But Harry's ghost is sticking around.  There are rules  to being a ghost and  he's got to learn them. Dead Harry needs Sam's help.  But Sam needs Harry's help too.  Because the same killers are after him.  The book started of like i thought because he died and nobody new till the next morning. We are reading about four chapter's at a time and after my group and i do our jobs on our literacy circles. I found the book very twisted and sharp corners. The thing i am looking forward to is the ending.

PBL driving question

Welcome back to my blog Its the first week back at school for term four and we have been introduced to our new PBL question for the term.... I think we are all really exited about our PBL (How can I celebrate who I am?) I think at the start of the term the whole of Kaupeka had lots and lots of different ideas for how we were going to present of projects at the end of term, but first we have to wait and do a-lot of planning for what it is that we will be doing.
